he Sales and Installation division of Liverpool, UK based technical solutions provider Adlib has supplied an L-ACOUSTICS ARCS wide / focus (WIFO) sound system to audio rental company Stagetex, who are based nearby on Merseyside.
The deal was co-ordinated for Adlib by Nick Turner. Adlib Sales specialises in supplying tailor made systems to sonically discerning clients, backed up by the best levels of quality technical service and pre and post sales support.
Stagetex provides full technical production and rental services to high end corporate events and their clients embrace a wide variety of shows and presentation genres from conferences, meetings, dinners and awards shows to parties, live music and entertainment of all types.
They wanted a fully flexible excellent sounding system … and consulted Adlib for advice and guidance.
They specifically wanted something scalable and dynamic that would also cover all the applications outlined above.
Stagetex’s Peter van Neste explains, “I have known Adlib for a long time and always been impressed with their service, attitude and the people. It made complete sense to purchase the system through them and having the benefit of their combined experience and knowledge to hand was just fantastic.”
Adlib arranged for van Neste and other Stagetex engineers and crew to listen to a number of different systems.
One of these was the new WIFO, which was initially heard during an L-ACOUSTICS Open Day staged at Adlib’s extensive demo facility in Speke – only about 10 minutes away from Stagetex.
As soon as Neste heard the WIFO, although he had listened to some other excellent brands, he knew that this was what Stagetex needed.
He liked the key points of sound quality and flexibility of the ARCS WIFO, which is also simple to use and can easily be flown, ground stacked or set up in a number of pole-mounted formats.
He and his colleagues all thought it would be ideal for the diverse range of events on which they work and confirmed the sale.
Nick Turner comments, “Stagetex has a very meticulous approach to their event production. They wanted to consider all the options and make an informed choice, but once they heard the WIFO there was no turning back, they were convinced that this was the perfect system solution”.
As soon as the decision was made, Adlib Sales ensured that everything happened quickly and efficiently.
The initial delivery of WIFO comprised four ARCS WIDE Constant Curvature WST enclosures and four SB18m subs, with rigging kit for flying or stacking the system which is powered by two LA 4 amplifiers.
Adlib also provided full flightcasing for the speakers. All their trunks are manufactured on the premises to their own exacting standards, a process that is quick and cost-effective.
The system has already been used on multiple events for Stagetex who are delighted with the results.
