5 Star Cases - Europe’s leading flightcase manufacturer – reports yet another successful PLASA exhibition in London, UK.

5 Star highlighted samples of its most popular product ranges for the entertainment industry, concert touring, television and theatre markets. Over the four days of the show these all attracted plenty of interest, with some deals also completed on the stand. 5 Star’s MD Keith Sykes comments that visitor quality was “Generally very good”.

5 Star’s latest Drawered Racks attracted plenty of interest and were a prominent element of the stand display.

Three types of Drawered Racks are offered as ‘standard’ - two hinged versions and one with removable doors.

There’s a choice of two dynamic styles for the hinged option - one with a fixed top and one with a hinged top, complete with very cool gas strut supports to prevent accidental closure!

The hinged top version also features a workstation area, which can be replaced when worn out.

The removable lid type has a table leg system option that transforms the usually redundant lid into a useful table / work-surface area.

All 5 Star’s Drawered Racks are available with a wide variety of drawer depths.

PLASA visitors also loved the Custom Transit range of general purpose cases and trunks.

With a ten year history of robust and quality engineering, the universal popularity of this range has persisted and even crossed over from Entertainment into other adjacent industry sectors, like Museums, Library Services and Engineering.

However, the Lighting, Sound and AV companies still find multiple uses for these well-made small to medium general purpose trunks.

Custom Transit has an impressive 27 different size and style options which include stacking and wheeled versions. Construction is from birch plywood, to which is bonded a tough stucco aluminium external covering. An internal polyethylene foam lining is also included in the design.

5 Star has had an extremely busy year so far in 2012, and now looks forward to a new era of PLASA with the 2013 event moving from Earl’s Court, its home for many years, to London’s Excel Centre, where 5 Star has already committed to a large stand.
