Zarkana Starts Previews At Radio City

With seven resident shows under its belt in Las Vegas, and one in Orlando, and a few in Asia, not to mention numerous touring shows, Cirque du Soleil now comes to New York City in big way with Zarkana, currently in previews at Radio City Music Hall, with an official opening on June 29.

Stay tuned for Live Design's in-depth coverage of Zarkana, including an interview with lighting designer Alain Lortie, who also designed Delirium for Cirque du Soleil. He describes his rig as "a no-focus tour with all moving lights and LEDs." Lortie programmed the show as well on an MA Lighting grandMA2 console, with 40 universes of DMX to control the LEDs. Zarkana is intended to tour with dates ahead in Moscow at the Kremlin Theatre which is about the same size as Radio City.
