Sunday, June 12 at the Beacon Theatre in New York saw an evening of kind words and strong hearts at the 70th annual Tony Awards. Host James Corden began the event with a message of support for the victims of the Orlando shooting, and throughout the night's festivities, more would share words of strength and unity. Hit hip-hop musical Hamilton took home 11 of the 16 awards it was nominated for, including Best Musical, coming in one award shy of The Producers' record of 12 Tony Awards. The cast of Hamilton gave a stirring performance of "Yorktown (The World Has Turned Upside Down)," during which audience members could not help but reflect on the tragedy in Orlando. Watch a video of the performance, which is below the list of winners in the design categories. For the full list of nominees and winners, visit the Tony Awards website.
