Twisted Sisters

Basil Twist’s Sisters’ Follies: Between Two Worlds was commissioned for the 100th Anniversary of the Abrons’ Playhouse, where they produced avant-garde performances and dance from 1915-28. Referred to as a 90-minute “spooktacular musical extravaganza,” and produced in time for Halloween this year, Sisters’ Follies is directed by Twist. The creative roster includes lighting design by Ayumu Poe Saegusa, costume design by Machine Dazzle, sound design by A-Key (Takaaki Ando), and projection design by Daniel Brodie and Gabriel Aronson. Thomas Wilfred’s “Clavilux light organ” recreation was by Joshua Light Show.
