Spamalot On The Strip

Spamalot, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical in 2005, is the latest Broadway hit to settle in Las Vegas — in the requisite 90-minute, no intermission Sin City version. This Monty Python spoof is now running at Wynn Las Vegas in the 1,500-seat theatre that was once home to Avenue Q, and which was renovated, expanded, and renamed The Grail Theatre. The show's creative team includes Tim Hatley (sets and costumes), Hugh Vanstone (lighting) and Acme Sound Partners (sound). Rick Gray, general manager of entertainment operations at Wynn, says, “It's a wonderful complement for the property. It's silly and fun and elegant with a little bit of poignancy. Everybody is just having a great time and into the spirit of it. It's beautifully done.”
