Look Solutions’ Tiny-Fogger displays its own brand of wizardry on stage in the Theatre for Young Audiences’ (TYA) production of The Wizard of Oz at the Marriott Theatre in the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort on Chicago’s North Shore.
“We are theatre-in-the-round and our audience is close to the stage so we are unable to use pyrotechnics,” notes Teresa Ghiotto, TYA stage manager. “We had other Look Solutions products but purchased the Tiny-Fogger to use for the Wicked Witch of the West and instead of a fireball for the burning of Scarecrow. The kids love the effects and ask, “How did the witch make smoke?’ almost every day in our question & answer period.”
The Marriott Theatre, founded in 1975, boasts the largest subscription base of any musical theatre. Its Theatre for Young Audiences presents a number of original works as well as classic fairy tales.
