Hamilton Sets New Olivier Award Nominations Record

With a record-breaking 16 Tony Award nominations, Hamilton did not disappoint when it made its London debut. The West End production gathered 13 Olivier Award nominations, including Best New Musical. The previous record was shared by the 2017 production of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child and the 2008 production of Hairspray with 11 nominations each. Check out our coverage of Howell Binkley's lighting, Nevin Steinberg's sound, Paul Tazewell's costumes, and David Korins' sets for Hamilton, and listen to the designers themselves in these Hamilton webcasts featuring Binkley's lighting design and Steinberg's sound design.
