Auerbach Pollock Friedlander Announces Promotions

Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, Performing Arts/Media Facilities Planning and Design with offices in San Francisco, New York, and Minneapolis, named one new senior associate and one new associate. The firm’s founder, S. Leonard Auerbach says, “Our leadership is further enhanced by the promotion of dedicated professionals such as Donald Guyton and Kent Conrad. Donald Guyton, Senior Associate, New York
Donald Guyton joined Auerbach Pollock Friedlander in early 2000, bringing eight years of theatre consulting and project management experience to the firm. Guyton has over 25 years of experience working as a theatre professional.

His responsibilities at Auerbach Pollock Friedlander include project management and systems design. Some of his projects include the Virginia Beach Performing Arts Center in Virginia; the stage machinery upgrades at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York City; the renovation of the Portsmouth Music Hall Portsmouth, New Hampshire; The University of Oklahoma School of Music, Donald W. Reynolds Performing Arts Center Holmberg Hall, Norman, Oklahoma; the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio; and the new cabaret theatre at the Queens Theatre in the Park in Flushing Meadows, New York.

Guyton received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Opera and Musical Theatre Production from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music.

Kent Conrad, Associate, San Francisco
Kent Conrad joined Auerbach Pollock Friedlander in 2002 and his 30+ years of theatrical experience are an invaluable asset to the firm. During his extensive career, Kent has worked as a lighting designer, technical director, project manager, and theatre design consultant. This diverse experience is applied to his project work with maturity, insight, and care. In addition to his direct project management and design responsibilities, Conrad is the managing coordinator of the San Francisco design studio.

During his time at Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, Conrad has worked on a number of projects including the Mesa Arts Center, Mesa, Arizona; San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Napa Valley College and Napa High School, both in Napa, California; Westminster Community Arts Center, Westminster, California; Tracy Theatre and Cultural Center, Tracy, California, Harvard Westlake School, Bel Air, California; and several themed entertainment facilities in Asia.

He has a B.F.A degree from the University of Utah in Theatre Design.
