An American In Paris Is A Hit

An American In Paris opened Sunday, April 12 at the Palace Theatre after its out-of-town tryout in Paris last fall. Inspired by the Academy Award-winning film, the original Broadway musical is set in 1945 in Paris, at the end of World War II. Directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, the musical features the creative talents of scenic and costume designer Bob Crowley, lighting designer Natasha Katz, sound designer Jon Weston, and projection design by 59 Productions.

The musical received positive praise, especially for Christopher Wheeldon's debut and Bob Crowley's inventive and fun sets and costumes. Read about the reviews on Broadway.com.
