TBA Global Events produced the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network’s “Celebration on the Hill” for the second time. Held September 19 and 20, 2006 in Washington, DC, “Celebration on the Hill” celebrates cancer survivorship, empowers survivors, and others to advocate for laws that will help fight the disease.
TBA worked hand-in-hand with the American Cancer Society and the Cancer Action Network to produce and execute the program, including the inaugural Wall of Hope on the National Mall. The Wall of Hope is one of the largest temporary steel structures ever built on the National Mall, constructed out of 5,000 signed banners gathered from local American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life events held around the US, and measuring approximately the length of three city blocks. With an estimated three million signatures, the Society’s Wall of Hope urges Congress to make cancer a national priority.
