Sapsis Rigging Has Celebrities Climbing The Walls

When Vanity Fair magazine wanted to do a photo shoot of Mikhail Baryshnikov hanging around his new studio in New York City, they meant literally hang. So they called in Sapsis Rigging, Inc., to suspend Baryshnikov from the roof of the Baryshnikov Arts Center on West 37th Street in Manhattan. The results of the shoot, photographed by Annie Leibovitz, were published in the January issue.

This wasn't the first time Sapsis Rigging has helped suspend celebrities from high heights. In October, the company supervised Al Roker and Matt Lauer as they descended from Rockefeller Center dressed as Batman & Robin for NBC's annual Today Show Halloween special. According to the company, the real trick one was keeping Roker's cape from getting tangled in the belay rig.
