Masque Sound On Board For MTC Gala

Approaching their 70th anniversary as one of Broadway’s sound design and reinforcement specialists, Masque Sound provided the live audio mix for the Manhattan Theatre Club Gala, Monday, May 9th in the Grand Ballroom of the New York Hilton.

Honoring MTC executive producer Barry Grove's 30th anniversary with Masque Sound, the Gala was hosted by John Lithgow, who is currently starring in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and featured appearances by Mario Cantone of Sex and the City fame, and live performances from Alter Boyz, Brooklyn the Musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Sweet Charity.

Masque Sound provides audio equipment for many MTC productions, including Doubt, A Picasso and Brooklyn Boy, and has handled the live mix for MTC Galas for almost 20 years. The technical side of this year's Gala was highlighted by one of the first applications of the recently acquired Meyers Sound MILO high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker systems. Last month, Masque announced a $200,000 investment in these "optimum choice" speakers.
