Live open air events have the difficult issue of gaining permission and licensing, dependent on multiple factors, including the prediction and control of noise levels that might affect the surrounding areas. d&b audiotechnik has recently launched NoizCalc, a far field emission modeling software tool, to address this very issue. d&b has released several tutorial videos on the new software, explaining how sound system designers can use the software in the event planning stages to model the far field noise emission from one or more d&b loudspeaker systems.
