White Light Adds New Productions to Its Lineup

News from PLASA: London-based lighting supplier White Light is enjoying one of his business autumn seasons.

Currently underpreparation are the West End transfers of Jerry Springer: The Opera and Anything Goes, both from the Royal National Theatre, and the Dutch production of Mamma Mia!

Now the company is announcing it has won contracts for the West End production of the Broadway hit Thoroughly Modern Millie and a new musical Tonight's the Night, which utilizes the songs of Rod Stewart.

"Tonight's The Night represented a particular challenge," notes White Light's Bryan Raven, "since they only confirmed us as the lighting supplier on Thursday.... but wanted the rig delivered the following Monday! Fortunately our warehouse staff were able to pull out all of the stops to get the gear ready. Our suppliers have also been superb, despite the fact that many of them were also preparing their own PLASA stands. We owe particular thanks to TMB, who received a huge cable order from The Moving Light Company on Friday and delivered it to us on Monday!"

The West End autumn season for White Light currently includes Anything Goes, Jerry Springer: The Opera, Tonight's The Night, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Bea Arthur, Arms and the Man, and Rat Pack Confidential as well as long-standing productions including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Chicago. Outside London White Light is serving shows including Art and Miss Saigon on tour and Mamma Mia! in Holland.
