Visual Terrain Heads East

Visual Terrain, Inc., the Los Angeles lighting design, theatrical consulting and production design/management firm, has announced the opening of a new East Coast office in Orlando, FL. The new office, close to the major Central Florida theme parks, will serve clients from Bar Harbor to Key West, and is designed to facilitate smoother coordination across US time zones and communications for the company’s European projects.

“We have active projects in Atlanta and Orlando,” says managing design principal, Dawn Hollingsworth, “as well as pending projects on the East Coast and Mexico City. This new office will give us better client responsiveness for projects in the East and Midwest.”

Project designer Lisa Passamonte Green added, “Having an East Coast location will help us reduce our costs, and provide a saving to clients, who won’t have as many travel-related expenses for projects we bid.”

The Orlando office is headed up by project designer Greg Randle, who specializes in designs for the themed entertainment and hospitality industry. His experience includes theme park attractions, nightclubs, casinos, museums, cruise ships and retail. Earning a bachelor of fine arts in theatre from California Institute of the Arts (Cal Arts), Randle went on to become a member of the Walt Disney Imagineering team for six years, working on attractions at EPCOT, the Disney-MGM Studios, and the Disney Cruise Line. He also served as a lighting director during the construction of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The new office is located in Orlando’s Thornton Park neighborhood, at 42 North Hyer Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801. The phone number is 407-254-5994, and fax is 407-254-5998. Randle may also be reached at [email protected].
