Visible Light Announces OnStage DVD for PowerPoint

Visible Light recently announced OnStage DVD For PowerPoint, a new plug-in object for playback and control of DVD-Video content within PowerPoint slides.

OnStage DVD For PowerPoint can be inserted into any PowerPoint slide. The viewer may interact with DVD menus and a DVD player control toolbar is available. Settings are provided to customize playback and appearance, and there is support for both full screen and windowed playback. A wide variety of DirectShow DVD decoders is supported, plus the REALmagic Hollywood for hardware TV output.

OnStage DVD For PowerPoint is also network-capable. In addition to supporting playback from a DVD disk, hard drive or notebook, presentations and DVD content may be located virtually anywhere on a network. Playback is supported on most Windows platform PCs with an installed DVD decoder.

"PowerPoint is widely used for education, training, promotion and other communications. DVD is hot. Adding DVD video and interactivity attracts attention and improves the effectiveness of a presentation", said Steve Perlman, President of Visible Light. "OnStage DVD For PowerPoint is the glue that makes it all possible."

OnStage DVD For PowerPoint is scheduled for release in Q4 2002, and will be available as an electronic download. For details, visit the VISIBLELIGHT.COM web site.
