VectorWorks SPOTLIGHT 11 Now Available

Nemetschek North America have released VectorWorks SPOTLIGHT 11, the latest development in their line of products designed specifically to meet the needs of designers in AEC, entertainment and landscape design.

With Nemetschek North America’s VectorWorks already one of the world’s best-selling CAD products, the new VectorWorks SPOTLIGHT 11 offers enhanced tools and technology to make production drafting more efficient and modeling much easier. The new page layout capabilities with faster rendering modes enable users to better communicate their intended designs.

Richard Diehl, CEO, Nemetschek North America, stated, "VectorWorks SPOTLIGHT 11 is a milestone release in our almost twenty years of development history. Existing users will be pleased with the improved functionality in version 11 that allows them to continue to design in their own way, only faster and easier. Additionally, the new technology in version 11 will cause users of other programs to re-evaluate current CAD solutions."

The version 11 includes advance page layout features, which make it easy to compose drawing sheets that combine different views at varying scales of a design with text, annotations, and other graphical elements. Its new artistic rendering modes produce softer hand-sketched effects. New image compression technology gives users the ability to open files more quickly, and save files faster, while taking up less hard drive space. They system now supports QuickTimeR VR, as well as AutoCADR 2004, and ACISR solids.

Other improvements to VectorWorks SPOTLIGHT 11 include inventory improvements: new context-sensitive help, multi-circuit instrument tool, new ARRI and Mole-Richardson libraries, export dimmer and channel information, batch print, and faster more robust modeling. "VectorWorks SPOTLIGHT 11 is exactly what I've been hoping for. An instant boost to productivity, viewports, new artistic rendering modes, and real improvements to drafting and modeling," says Frank Brault, VectorWorks user and consultant.
