Tomcat UK, a division of Tomcat Global, which recently became part of the Vitec Group’s Staging Systems Division is closing its manufacturing facility. Tomcat Global is now completing its integration within the Staging Systems organization and continuing its expansion into the European, Middle East, and African markets. Staging Systems will provide what will now be named Tomcat Europe with new, state-of-the-art 9,000-sq-m production facilities in Italy and Slovakia, where its capacity will be integrated and expanded, together with R&D and engineering capabilities to support its new strategic geographical approach.
“In addition to these changes, Tomcat will be able to boost product innovation and project capabilities, guarantee industry-leading quality standards, and provide customers with enhanced services,” says Orietta Rosso, communications manager for the Vitec Group – Staging Systems Europe.
As of August 1st, all customer services, logistics, and administrative activities will be managed directly out of Staging Systems Europe headquarters, located in Via Raffaello 31, 31021 Mogliano Veneto, Treviso (Italy). Staging Systems Europe has about 160 employees, is headquartered in Mogliano Veneto (TV), Italy, with four production plants: 1 in Mogliano Veneto (TV) and 1 in Feltre (BL), both in Italy, and also 1 in Slovakia and 1 in the UK.
Pier Luigi Gherardini was recently named the new general director of Staging Systems Europe. Before this appointment, Gherardini worked in the Vitec Group for one-and-a-half years and has gathered significant experience in different sectors both in Italy and abroad.
