TI DLP Projectors and TVs Chosen for 76th Annual Academy Awards for 5th Consecutive Year

Texas Instruments (TI) (NYSE: TXN)recently announced that projectors and televisions featuring its award-winning DLP technology have been exclusively chosen for use at the 76th Annual Academy Awards Presentation. This marks the fifth consecutive year that DLP technology has lit up the screens at the world's most famous awards ceremony. In addition, celebrity presenters of the Oscars this year will receive in their gift bag, compliments of Samsung Electronics and Voom, a Samsung 43" HLM437W DLP TV.

Seventeen DLP technology-based DP28sx projectors from Digital Projection will be featured at the Oscar® ceremonies to deliver stunning images to screens around the Kodak Theatre, allowing the entire star-studded audience front row viewing. In addition, four Samsung DLP TVs will prominently display live high-definition images of the ceremony throughout the theater, including to presenters and award winners in the green room and attendees in the lobby areas.
