Theatre Projects Consultants Honored by Queen Elizabeth

As Theatre Projects Consultants, of South Norwalk, CT, marks its 45th anniversary, the firm was pleased to learn that it is one of the recipients of the 2002 Queen's Award for Enterprise in the U.K. This annual award is given to British companies with an outstanding record overseas—in this case for TPC's work as theatre consultants in the United States, Europe, the Middle and Far East.

"When I told some of our friends about this award, they asked which Queen," says Richard Pilbrow, the Brit-who-lives-in-America founding principal of Theatre Projects. "We are very proud to be among 30 or 40 firms who have received this award," he says.

TPC is also celebrating the recent opening of three milestone projects in the United States: the Clarice Smith Center at the University of Maryland, the Kimmel Center, Philadelphia, and the Kodak Theatre, Hollywood, recently seen around the world as the home of the Academy Awards®.

The firm has also introduced its first e-newsletter to introduce readers to its web-site Theatre Projects and present updates on developments in the worlds of theatre, concert hall and arts center architecture, technology and design.

Congratulations to TPC on the award, and happy 45th anniversary!
