TDF Names Victoria Bailey as Executive Director

The Board of Trustees of Theatre Development Fund (TDF) has named Victoria Bailey as executive director. Bailey comes to TDF after a 15-year stint as general manager at Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC).

Says John Breglio, chairman of the TDF board, "We are all so pleased to have Tory in the CEO post at TDF. She has an enormous breadth of experience in all aspects of the theatrical industry and is respected by a wide network of colleagues in the business. She also has a passion for TDF's mission that will ensure that we move forward to build on our roles of support and service to both the production of plays of merit and to ensuring access to these productions by the broadest possible audiences. I have personally had the pleasure of working with her for more than six years and look forward to this new relationship."

As MTC's GM, Bailey was involved in the production of close to 200 plays, many of which were commercial transfers. She oversaw MTC's administration operations for an $11 million annual budget and strategic planning.

Bailey has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Columbia University's School of the Arts for more than ten years and has worked as a consultant for a variety of theatres. She is a member of the Executive Board of the League of Off Broadway Theatres and Producers and a member of the League of American Theatres and Producers. She is a graduate of Yale University.
