Symetrix Adds Ray Tantzen

Symetrix, Inc., has appointed Ray Tantzen to the newly created position of product and training specialist/field engineer. Tantzen will spend most of his time traveling to help existing and potential customers understand the applications for Symetrix technology and to listen to their needs and identify solutions. While he will work with all of the Symetrix brands, his focus will be on the growing SymNet line of Network Audio Solutions.

Tantzen brings a wealth of industry experience to the position. He spent four years as a product specialist at Loud Technologies, in Woodinville, WA, where he successfully grew the TAPCO brand. His wide-ranging freelance audio engineering activities include studio recording, editing, and mixing; location recording and mixing; audio for video; and live sound and broadcast mixing. In addition, he developed and taught classes at Seattle's 911 Media Arts that included Introduction to Audio, Introduction to Pro Tools, Advanced Post Production, and Location Sound Recording.

"I'm happy to put my skills to use at Symetrix because it has such a great reputation, along with a recognized commitment to product quality and customer service. With my background in the audio industry, this position is right in my area of expertise. Whether I am on the road training customers, in the office working on site designs, or helping with product testing and development, I feel at home in this position," Tantzen comments.

"This is the sort of perfect match between person and position that you always hope for," says Paul Roberts, director of sales, Symetrix. "Ray knows the ins and outs of the audio industry. He knows how customers use and perceive our products. Perhaps more importantly, he recognizes needs and unfilled niches in the industry, and has proven that he has the vision to fill them."
