Streaming Media Program to Expand at InfoComm 04, Announce ICIA, Primedia Business

FAIRFAX, VA--Reflecting a growing interest worldwide in using the Internet to distribute video footage, the International Communications Industries Association, Inc. (ICIA) and Primedia'sSound & Video Contractor, Video Systems and SRO magazines announce the second annual Streaming Media Production Pavilion at InfoComm, aimed at exploring the latest in the streaming media and presentation technologies for the professional audiovisual communications systems industry.

The InfoComm 2004 exhibition will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta June 9 - 11, while the conference extends June 5-11, 2004.

The pavilion, a growing element of the InfoComm Exhibit Floor, will feature products, services and technologies within the streaming media and presentation markets. Almost a dozen hour-long panel sessions will also be presented over the three days of the show, led by Primedia industry authority Stephen Porter. Porter has been covering video, graphics, and digital content creation technologies and applications for more than 15 years. The sessions will cover trends and technologies in:

Distance learning
Webcasting from the desktop
Video production process
Network fundamentals
Monetizing your Web stream
Creating rich media presentations
Streaming for K-12
Streaming DVD or HD-quality video
Using on demand streaming for corporate communication.

In addition, the production and broadcast of the Show's daily streaming media features and highlights will be located in the InfoComm ICTV Studio within the Streaming Media Production Pavilion.

Streaming technology is much in demand as a business trend, combining the ubiquitous nature of two of today's technologies, the Internet backbone with video content, said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director of ICIA. InfoComm, as the electronics systems show for presentation and communication customers worldwide, is a natural environment for the display and mass distribution of content, and we're pleased that Primedia is proactive in creating this platform for streaming media at InfoComm.

We look forward to producing the Streaming Media Production Pavilion at InfoComm 2004, noted Publisher Jeff Victor. After a successful pavilion launch in 2003, our team of industry experts is eager to further educate attendees on the latest developments in these emerging arenas.
