C.W. Shaver & Company Inc. has been awarded a contract from New York State’s Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) to provide technical services and training to individual artists, arts-related businesses, and cultural organizations located below 14th Street that have been economically impacted by the World Trade Center disaster.
Services to be provided will include:

a series of workshops and print materials to provide current information about financing requirements and fundraising opportunities for affected individuals, businesses, and organizations;

one-on-one recovery financing and fundraising coaching sessions for affected individuals, businesses, and organizations; and,
-
work with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) to stabilize and financially strengthen its ability to respond to highly impacted cultural constituencies.
The Shaver Company will be coordinating with the LMCC to ensure that those individuals, organizations, and businesses working in all artistic disciplines are provided access to this program of technical assistance designed specifically to address the critical financial and fundraising issues facing the downtown arts and entertainment industry.

The WTC Technical Assistance Program is part of the $700 million appropriation from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) made available to assist in recovery efforts. The program is administered by Empire State Development Corporation.
