Staging Dimensions Supports Ice Rink In Bryant Park

Staging Dimensions, Inc., a Delaware-based stage manufacturing company, provided New York City’s Bryant Park with the staging necessary to complete its new ice rink. The project consisted of support structures and pedestrian walkways that covered most of the parks 50,000 sq.ft. main green, excluding the ice. The staging was required to support a Zamboni as well as numerous 2,500lb. ballasts and tent structures.

“I researched many staging manufacturers, Staging Dimensions had the strongest decks out there and they could meet our tight time frame”, Itai Shoffman, ID & A’s executive producer states.

“Staging Dimensions was a good fit for the project," says Tim Thiel, senior planner of FTL Design Engineering Studio and principal of S.P.E.C. Technologies. “It was much more than a straight staging job. They [SD] had a representative onsite to answer any questions and service was a large factor in choosing Staging Dimensions, Inc. Additionally, easy of assembly minimized build costs and the decks structural integrity surpassed the designer’s specifications for the project.”
