Construction of Stageline Group’s new plant is well underway in L’Assomption, Quebec, Canada. Representing an investment of $5 million, this expansion project features the latest environmental technologies applied to industrial buildings.
The first phase of the project will feature a 35,000-square-foot building, regrouping under one roof the production line of the largest stage models and mobile marketing units, maintenance, and preparation of rental units and administrative space including the headquarter of MSR (Mobile Stage Rentals), the rental entity of the Stageline Group.
Such a building will allow for a substantial increase in productivity, providing more usable space for the construction of the larger stage models such as the Stageline SAM series, and developing turnkey projects. The highest section of the building (60 feet) is engineered to provide an unobstructed space for stage deployment and a unique preproduction area for the show business and movie industry.
“Given the increasing volume of business the company is dealing with, increasing the production capacity was becoming a necessity,” says Yvan Miron, founder and president of Stageline Group.
On the other hand, investing in a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building, emitting virtually no greenhouses gases through the use of geothermal and solar heating systems—among the leading technologies used in this project—will significantly lower the energy bill and reduce the impact of the economic activity on the environment.
