Sennheiser Restructures US Marketing Efforts

Sennheiser Electronics Corporation has completed a thorough restructuring of its marketing and marketing communications team, shifting key personnel into new positions, making new hires and aligning its operations into business management channels.

The new focus on business management channels consists of the following appointments. Karl Winkler, formerly director of marketing communications, will head the Pro/MI/Installed Sound division and Rob Douglas will spearhead Consumer Electronics. Audiology will be the new responsibility of Denise Lavoie with Michael Feldbauer guiding Aviation. New hire Dennis Zembower joins Sennheiser as business manager for Guideport and Tourguide. Marketing Communications will be taken over by a new hire, and Kristy Jo Haima remains in charge of artist relations. Sennheiser Communications, the company's newest division, will continue to be led by Bill Whearty who resumes sales and marketing responsibilities for that division.

According to Stefanie Reichert, vice president of marketing, and the driving force behind the changes, the new structure provides a foundation for handling the company's current and future growth. "By shifting key Sennheiser managers into new areas of responsibility and adding valuable, new knowledge to the organization through new experienced hires, we're more closely aligning the talents, energy and strengths of our marketing team with the short- and long-term strategic objectives of the company," she says. "Our new focus on business management channels will allow the team to better anticipate and leverage growth opportunities, develop even stronger marketing plans and ideas, and ensure that the Sennheiser product lines will continue to find new customers and applications wherever possible."
