Sennheiser Expands, Promotes Sousa

Sennheiser Electronic Corporation, the Old Lyme, CT-based audio manufacturer, recently announced expansion plans that will include a 5,000 sq. ft. addition to its warehouse facility. The company says the move will make room for the year 2000’s 26% growth.

The new warehouse will span 13,000 sq. ft. and provide more storage space, including racks and shelves for product storage, and an expanded service lab, making it possible for the service department to grow. The addition should be completed in late July.

In other news, Sennheiser also named Mario Sousa service manager. Sousa, formerly an electronics and service technical manager, has 14 years of professional experience. He has been employed by Madrigal Audio Labs, Kaman Music, and has had various other assignments in live and studio sound engineering.

Sousa earned a degree in electrical engineering technology and spent three years studying music production, engineering, and commercial jazz arranging at Boston’s Berklee College of Music.
