New York based Scharff Weisberg Inc. has launched a new subsidiary, Scharff Weisberg Media Resources Center (MRC), to provide media related services to its clients and the New York production community. The company offers a broad range of services, including uncompressed, digital non-linear editing; DVD authoring and burning; video duplication, mastering, and formats conversion; encoding audio and video for internet related applications; and streaming and presentation graphics. Other services also include slide to video transfers, still photo to video transfers with photo retouching, time code burn ins, and closed captioning.
“We formed this new division to provide clients, many of whom are production companies, with a flexible service for formatting their content quickly and efficiently in order to prepare it for presentation,” says company president Josh Weisberg.
The operation is located at 320 W. 37th St. and is directed by Josh Nissim. Nissim, who has been with the company for seven years, has more than 15 years experience in technical theater, video production, live events, and entertainment.
