Scharff Weisberg Hires Elzey As Senior Account Exec

Scharff Weisberg has added Walter Elzey to its staff as senior account executive. In his new post, Elzey will be working with staging clients and staff in addition to helping build new business. He will also have an oversight and management role on projects, handling budgets, communications and cash flow. “Walter has a history in our business that goes back many years,” comments Peter Scharff. “He’s going to be a great fit here in terms of knowledge and temperament. I have a lot of confidence that he’ll do great things with us.” Most recently Elzey was director of production at Broad Street Productions where he oversaw all production processes, budgets, systems and operations. Previously, he served as vice president/director of production services at Jack Morton Worldwide; director of production at Caribiner Communications; executive producer at The Partnership Works; and producer at Zachs & Perrier.

“Since I’ve always been interested in the technical side of the business, working with a state-of-the-art company like Scharff Weisberg, which is an industry leader in technology and convergence, is very exciting to me,” says Elzey. “I’ve known Peter for many years, and his company has a great reputation in the AV industry. This feels like a good place to work and put down roots. I intend to make my contribution by helping to build Scharff Weisberg’s client roster and interfacing between customers—who include production companies, technical directors and producers—and our technical staff.”
