Robe UK Restructures

Robe UK is restructuring following 12 months of continual growth.

Ian W Brown, who joined the company in September, becomes sales director in the new management team, having helped boost the turnover dramatically since his arrival. His colleague Bill Jones becomes sales manager. Both will continue heading up the sales department, looking after current clients, seeking new business, and continuing their proactive sales strategy.

Robe UK is also looking for two new members to join the sales force reveals Ian W. Brown, “to ensure we maintain the company’s efficiency and thoroughness in processing the increased volume of orders.” One will be based on the road to help Brown and Jones to cover the UK and maintain their high level of personal contact. The other will be based at Robe’s Northampton HQ, engaged in administration and ensuring smooth running of the vital sales support infrastructure.

Another two new members come onboard in Northampton to strengthen Robe UK’s core team and busy operations hub. John Linnell joins as MD and Bill Baker as business development manager. Baker’s background is in the electronics, electrical equipment, and distribution trade, and his skills will be a great asset to the company.

Nathan Wan continues as Robe UK’s technical manager. He’s also taken on the overall responsibility for exhibition design and coordination.

After 28 years of active service, Ian P. Brown, a founder of Robe UK, steps back from front line sales operations. He will continue to work with Robe UK in a consulting capacity.

Czech Republic-based Robe Show Lighting’s MD Josef Valchar says, “These changes are a direct result of the major sales successes that have characterized the UK market over the last year. It’s all looking extremely positive and we are confident we now have everything in place for Robe UK to continue growing and increase its market share.”
