In a move that was surprising, yet not totally unexpected, lighting industry veteran Phil O'Donnell has resigned from Strand Lighting, effective as of today, July 9, 2004. O'Donnell had been with the company for 26 years, working at Strand offices both in North America and Hong Kong.
"After a great 26 years at Strand, I am looking forward to my own future, and wish the company continued success," says O'Donnell. "I highly value the long-term relationships I've had with some wonderful people at Strand, and am grateful for their support over all those years."
O'Donnell had been CEO of Strand Lighting since January 2001. His resignation comes but a few months after a reorganization of the top management at the company, and the appointment of a new president.
