Paul Rivens has joined Riedel Communications as sales director, effective February 1st, according to company president, Thomas Riedel.
Rivens, Telex Sales Manager EAME for many years, will be responsible for all international sales of the German-based wireless and intercom manufacturer. “After 22 years in the Broadcast industry I am delighted to be joining Riedel," Rivens says. "My appointment comes at pivotal time in the growth of the company, providing us with exciting opportunities for the future."
Sales management for Germany, Austria and Switzerland will remain the responsibility of Riedel’s national sales office in Berlin.
Rivens’ appointment comes on the heels of a 40% increase in sales revenue for 2004. Several new orders have been received recently, including Danmark Radio, BBC, ZDF and WDR. “Our order book is at its highest since the establishment of the company, and our forecast for 2005 tops everything we have ever experienced in all areas of our business,” says Riedel.
The continued restructuring of Riedel reflects the strong growth of the company. With the consolidation of all central divisions at the German headquarters in Wuppertal, the company aims to optimize its business processes.
