has hired Brad Pope as production manager. Interestingly, Pope's background is in mechanical development and performance of puppets. His work has been seen in theatre and on television, most notably on HBO and Nickelodeon. He was recently involved in product development for Paramount Industries, a prototype shop for the toy industry.

In other news, the company kicked off the summer entertainment season by providing rigging and production elements for the Memorial Day performance of the New York Philharmonic at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. Sapsis also provided chain motors for the New York Shakespeare Festival in Central Park. Also in New York, "Uncle" Bill Sapsis presented his rigging seminar for members of the IATSE Local 1 at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center. He then led a four-person team to Las Vegas to conduct an inspection of the rigging for Cirque du Soleil</>'s "O".
