Klipsch Audio Technologies announced that Jeff Baer has joined the company as vice president of finance. He is responsible for guiding and directing financial control and reporting activities of the company as well as improving processes and procedures to meet the company's financial and operational objectives.
With 25 years of finance experience, Baer worked at Magnequench, Inc. in Indianapolis as corporate controller, A.P. Green Industries, Inc. in Missouri as corporate controller and Coeur Laboratories in North Carolina as chief financial officer before joining Klipsch.
Baer earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and has a CPA certification. In his spare time, Baer serves as the committee chair for Boy Scout Troop 446 in Indianapolis and is actively involved in leadership and fundraising efforts for the Northeast district of the BSA Crossroads of America Council.
Other news from Klipsch is the recent promotion of long-time employee Nancy Mills to chief financial officer. Moving up from her role as senior vice president of finance and business systems, Mills will add value to the organization by providing dependable strategic leadership, a consistent financial perspective and active contribution to critical management decisions.
As the new Klipsch CFO, her specific duties include directing the overall financial plans and accounting practices of the organization. She also oversees the company's treasury, accounting, budget, tax and audit activities.
Mills graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.. Since joining the company in 1994, Mills has also served as the vice president of financial analysis/business systems and vice president of finance. With 31-years of financial experience, Mills started her career at Schwitzer Engineered Components where she worked as a manager of financial analysis and planning for 13 years before moving on to Downey Designs International. From Downey, she went on to the Shane Company and National Guest Homes before finally joining Klipsch.
