New Role For Collins At Digital Projection

Projection systems manufacturer Digital Projection International (DPI) has named Chuck Collins as its director of business development-- manufacturer's representatives. In this newly created position, Collins will guide DPI resources and communications to assure the highest level of services are provided to its network of rep firms.

A 15-year veteran of the large-venue display industry and one of DPI's first associates hired in North America, Collins recently served as senior market development manager for the company. Through his work with major film festivals such as the Sundance and Telluride Film Festivals, he has played an integral role in DPI's work within the film community.

"We place tremendous value on our commitments with manufacturer's representatives, and there is no better person for this important position than Chuck Collins," says Mike Levi, president of Digital Projection, Inc. "Chuck will do an excellent job managing our corporate resources and providing the expert support needed to ensure a successful collaboration."

In addition to the support DPI's rep firms will receive from Collins on the corporate level, they will also benefit from day to day interaction with DPI's regionally-based market development managers. "With this unprecedented level of corporate and local resource, our manufacturer's representatives will experience the best of both worlds," continues Levi. "DPI is investing a sincere commitment toward maximizing their ability to identify and secure the growing volume of business opportunities for our Precision Line products."

DPI struck its first agreements with manufacturer's representatives in November 2003 to sell and distribute its Precision Line projectors, the 3-chip DLP(tm) MERCURY series and single-chip DLP(tm) iVision series. Currently, it is working with Advanced A/V Systems, Audio Associates, C2West, HP Marketing, the Michael Baskin Company, PMP Marketing, Sapphire Marketing, The Rep Company, Total Marketing, Visitec and EDA Marketing.
