New Professional Projector Line From Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division, maker of award-winning, high-quality presentation and display products, recently announced a new line of projectors designed to reduce some of the costs and additional care that surround professional business projector use. With this new line, Mitsubishi is also announcing an enhancement to its award-winning warranty program: a full-year lamp warranty on all XD400U ColorView™ projectors.

The XD400U, XD450U and XD480U ColorView projectors are powered by Texas Instrument's DLP™ chip technology and have been designed with sealed optic engines. This advanced filter-free construction makes Mitsubishi's projectors resistant to dust, dirt and other micro particles within the light path. By eliminating the need for a filter, the occurrence of problems typically associated with clogged filters, such as overheated lamps and premature failure, are reduced. Users and service departments tasked with the tedious responsibility of inspecting, cleaning and replacing projector filters every three to six months will appreciate easier maintenance schedules.

"Our dealers appreciate the significance of this filter-free system," said James Chan, director, projector product marketing for Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division. "They see it as a boon for their own service programs and as an added selling feature for their customers."

Mitsubishi's XD400U ColorView series of projectors lamps are rated to last as long as 5,000 hours. When combined with the new full-year warranty on the lamp, these projectors are extremely easy to set-up and use and much less expensive to maintain.

The new family of projectors also brings increased brightness, excellent video performance and a natural high throw ratio, which makes them easy to set-up and use in most conference rooms and varied lighting conditions. The ultra-portable projectors weigh only 6.5 pounds each, are easy to move or install, and light enough to take anywhere on the road.

"This unique design is really an important product differentiator," said Aki Ninomiya, vice president, Mitsubishi. "This new line proves that it's not enough just to look at specs anymore. With Mitsubishi's focus and commitment on performance we can offer our customers efficient, cost-effective options that perfectly meet their needs."
