New Principals at Theatre Projects Consultants

Theatre Projects Consultants announces the promotion of two members of the TPC team--John Coyne and Michael Nishball have been named as principal consultants.

John Coyne, an architect and a scenic and costume designer, has been an integral member of the TPC Design Department in the US office for the past three years. His responsibilities include theatre planning, space programming, site evaluation, and theatre concept design. Current projects include Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, Tempe Center for the Arts in Arizona, Collin County Arts Center in Texas, Lionel Hampton Center at the University of Idaho in Moscow, and New World Symphony's SoundSpace in Miami Beach.

Coyne continues to design for a number of theatre and opera companies including New York City Opera, San Francisco Opera, Center Stage, Goodspeed Musicals, and the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. His most recent productions include MacBeth at the Shakespeare Theatre, D.C., The Importance of Being Earnest at the Dallas Theater Center, My Fair Lady for Portland Center Stage, and Simon Boccanegra for the San Diego Opera.

Michael Nishball is the director of the Technical Production Department in the US office and a rigging and stage equipment specialist. He has been with TPC since 1995 and has more than 20 years experience in theatrical rigging system design and installation as well as specialist production techniques. He supervises a talented team in the production department, overseeing all system design work, contract documents, onsite support, and technical innovation.

Nishball has collaborated on over 60 performance spaces of all types including the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Overture Center in Madison, WI, New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City, and Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. He is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute with a certificate in Construction Document Technology. Nishball is also the newest member of the executive management team for the US office.
