NEC, High End in Catalyst Agreement

NEC Solutions Inc., the display manufacturer and High End Systems, Inc., the automated lighting manufacturer, have announced that they will work together to make HES' three-dimensional video and lighting system compatible with NEC's High Light Output (HLO™) projection technology. This version of the Catalyst™ system will be demonstrated for the first time at the NEC Solutions booth (#17026) during INFOCOMM 2002, the AV/Communications industry's largest tradeshow, June 12-14 in Las Vegas.

Referred to as "moving media in motion," High End's Catalyst system combines the power of digital media with the creativity of automated effects lighting. The system allows users to load video or images, then scale, rotate, zoom, edit, morph, color mix, overlay or blend to create the desired effect.

The integrated control system will be marketed to the large venue entertainment industry for professional touring, architectural lighting and bar/nightclub applications.

"We are pleased to collaborate with HES by providing advanced projection technology and integration support," says Greg Patrick, director of the OEM/Integrator business for NEC Solutions, Visual Systems Division. "The demonstration in the NEC booth will give INFOCOMM 2002 attendees a first-hand look at what is possible when the finest in lighting and visual display technologies are streamlined into one seamlessly controlled system."

"High End Systems is excited to collaborate with NEC to promote Catalyst," adds Bobby Hale, product manager for High End Systems' Catalyst. "This is a continuation of HES' efforts to establish relationships in the AV industry."

This agreement follows on the heels of a similar agreement High End made with Barco back in April.
