Municipal Arts Society "City Lights" Walking Tour

On Wednesday, June 4, the Municipal Arts Society of New York presents "City Lights," a walking tour from 8:30-10:30pm. "City Lights" takes a look at the spectacular nighttime lighting that accents the world-famous Manhattan skyline, from Met Life and Con Edison to the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building, as well as the memorial flagpole in Madison Square Park. Stephen W. Lees, senior principal at Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design, and Peter Jacobson, Con Ed Lighting Specialist, talk about the design and technology used to light these urban landmarks and Big Apple icons.

. Voted the "Best Architectural Walking Tours" by the Village Voice, Best of New York City 2002, The Municipal Arts Society advocates for excellence in urban planning, contemporary architecture, historic preservation and public art, and our tours are designed to reflect these areas of interest. MAS tour leaders are professional architects, architectural historians, urban historians, educators and writers, who are uniquely qualified to interpret the cityscape.
