Meyer Sound At LDI 2006 And ET Live

For this year’s LDI and ET Live show Meyer Sound has staked out substantial space inside and outside the Las Vegas Convention Center to display and demonstrate the company’s latest advancements in sound reinforcement technology. Inside the LDI show, an array of new products will highlight the presentation at booth 257. Outside at ET Live, attendees will have the rare opportunity to audition a complete Meyer Sound concert system in a realistic full-production setting and to then compare it to competitors’ systems at other stages. The proof will be in the hearing.

In the exhibit booth, Meyer Sound’s LCS Series products will command the attention of attendees looking for the latest in advanced DSP and software for theatrical and other complex programmed audio applications. The Matrix3™ audio show control system is a fully integrated digital audio environment providing a complete signal chain, automation system, and control structure for internal and external functions. Based on third-generation technology, Matrix3 delivers I/O, matrix mixing and routing, signal processing, unique SpaceMap® n-channel surround panning, Wild Tracks™ hard disk playback, and more, all under complete automation control.

Meyer Sound will also spotlight the newest in self-powered loudspeaker technology with the M’elodie™ ultracompact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker. M’elodie has already earned worldwide acclaim for packing a potent voice inside dainty dimensions and for blending seamlessly with other members of the MILO® family of loudspeakers. M’elodie’s bigger sibling, the MICA™ compact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker, will also be displayed, along with the best-selling M1D ultracompact curvilinear array loudspeaker.

Outside at ET Live, Meyer Sound will hold forth on Stage C with the MILO family of high-power curvilinear array loudspeakers, supported by 700-HP ultrahigh-power subwoofers, and the brand new MJF-212 stage monitor. Out at the FOH position, the system will be driven by a Galileo™ loudspeaker management system and monitored using the RMS™ remote monitoring system, while system performance will be measured by a SIM® 3 audio analyzer.

Live music offerings will be courtesy of the rockin’ blues of Reno Jones, with Meyer Sound Tour Liaison Manager Buford Jones mixing on the digital desk from stage co-sponsor DiGiCo. (Jones’ list of mixing credits stretches from British legends like Pink Floyd and Eric Clapton to current Nashville superstars Clint Black and Faith Hill.)
