In Memoriam: Judy Segeren

Judy Segeren, Canadian accounts manager of fog/special effects company Le Maitre, and wife of Le Maitre’s president Adrian Segeren, was killed in a car crash on August 25, the London [Ontario] Free Press has reported. She was 38.

The accident occurred when a transport truck hit her SUV; according to the Free Press, Segeren’s 11-year-old daughter, Klarice, was in the accident and was flown to the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario, with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. The driver of the transport truck was uninjured.

In addition to her husband and daughter, Segeren is survived by another daughter, Hilary; her parents; two siblings, and several in-laws, nephews, and nieces.

A wake will be held on Thursday, August 28, (2-4 and 7-9pm) at the the L.A. Ball Funeral Chapel, 7 Water Street N., St. Mary's, Ontario. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am at St. Mary's United Church, 85 Church Street S., St. Mary's, Ontario. The Le Maitre office will not be open on that day.
