In Memoriam: Alfred P. Tasch Jr.

Lighting and sound technician Alfred P. "Al" Tasch Jr. of Lawrence, MA, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 31 at Lawrence General Hospital. He was 43.

He was the beloved husband of Paula J. (Bourassa) Tasch. The couple celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary in May.

Al was born in Abington PA, June 4, 1965, the son of Alfred and Lois (Lutz) Tasch of Horsham PA.

He was educated through Horsham schools and received a bachelor's degree in theatrical production and design at Ithaca College in New York. Al was the service technician with Capron Lighting and Sound of Needham, MA for eight years. He previously freelanced for more than a dozen years in the lighting and sound production industry at companies such as Bluefin Productions, Inc., Sargent Production Services, and ALPS Inc. Some of his larger events were the US Pro Ski Tour, The Ray Boston Anytime Funtime Beach Party tour, and the Pops on the Esplanade 4th of July Concerts in Boston. He enjoyed being a dad, fishing, and baseball.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his son Peter and and daughter, Allison Tasch of Lawrence, many brothers and sisters-in law also aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
