The Medgar Lighting Group will be holding its third annual charity golf tournament September 16th at Ariss Valley Golf Club, north of Guelph, Ontario.
The tournament is in memory of colleague Brian Phelps and last year's event had over 140 golfers and raised just over $13,000 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, according to Barry Thompson, president, Medgar Lighting Group. "This year's event will far surpass that with an expected 170-180 golfers from the local electrical industry and Brian's family/friends," he says. "We now expect to raise well over $16,000."
