MattLX Appoints Barry Hope Project Manager

MattLX is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Hope as project manager.

With over 13 years experience working on productions in both the world of theatre and corporate events, Hope Joins MattLX as a key member of the project management team.

His experience emanates from a career as a lighting technician and designer based in the UK, and he has worked at such well known venues such as Alton Towers, Birmingham Hippodrome, and the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Adding a Midlands focus for MattLX, Hope will enhance the company’s skills and knowledge base with several years of freelance technical project delivery behind him. MattLX’s managing director Matt Clutterham hired Hope initially to work on a freelance capacity for a number of high profile corporate events that he successfully completed for the company.

His previous roles have been in the areas of production management, lighting design, production lighting technician, and programmer for international theatre tours, trade/corporate and outdoor events, and even a little bit of sound.

Hope will be project managing the company’s array of full service projects as well as some design work, and with his NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety he will be heading up the team looking after MattLX’s venue and event health and safety management services.
