Masque Makes Move to MILO

According to Masque Sound vice president Geoff Shearing, the 70-year-old East Rutherford, NJ-based sound reinforcement company’s decision to add 16 MILO high-power curvilinear array loudspeakers to its rental inventory was the result of the most basic motivation any businessperson can have.

“Clients were asking for it,” Shearing says. “Masque has been a Meyer Sound user for many years and we already knew what MILO had to offer: wonderful sound, self-powering, high output and excellent rigging. Frankly, when we evaluated the idea, all we saw were benefits.”

Masque has a longstanding reputation in live events of all types, especially theatrical, television, and corporate AV, but has recently been expanding into more music events and tours. Shearing expects the new MILO rig to spend a good deal of time working in that area. “MILO has become the first choice of many tours, which is one reason we started getting requests," he says. "I don’t expect to see the new system in our warehouse very often.”
