Martin Opens New Facilities in Florida and Vegas

Martin Professional opened its new facility in Sunrise, FL, with a bang, inviting 200 guests to grand opening party. Guests toured the new facility and checked out the light show in the company’s new demo room. An after-party, with dancing to the music of DB Willie Imbeault (a Martin employee), kept the action going far into the night.

The new facility is dramatically unlike anything seen in the entertainment technology industry—as least in the US—for it has designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind. All of Martin’s sales reps are located in one open, high ceiling space, with ultra-modern office furniture and computer equipment. The room is bright, modern and airy, and features a specially commissioned painting by Danish artist Palle Mernild. The latter was presented by Martin CEO Kristian Kolding during unveiling ceremony at the party.

In addition, the Martin demo room is like a small nightclub, with an extensive rig that includes a full lineup of Martin equipment. Guests at the party saw a light show programmed by Mark Pranzini and Peter Moore. The building’s exterior is fully illuminated by Mac Expterior 600s and Exterior 200s;, the lobby features a reception desk bearing the Martin logo (designed by Robert Aclimbari) and a triangular truss bearing Martin Mac 500s, Mac 600s, and MiniMac wash fixtures, installed and programmed by Carl Wake.

The building has been officially open since February is available for visits by appointment. Troels Volver, CEO of Martin USA, said at the party, “This new building, which represents the headquarters for our US operations, is an open-plan building, allowing for continued growth and expansion. It will be host to our Martin University classes held every two weeks, providing product training to all those interested. Our state-of-the-art demo room, marketing department, technical sales support, customer care, quality control, administration, sales, service, and warehousing departments are all here to support your needs.”

Turning to the West Coast, Martin opened its new Las Vegas facility on May 31st (photo below). Las Vegas office head and regional sales manager Tim Brennan was there to greet guests, along with Volver and other Martin personnel. The party’s entertainment lineup included a light show and a performance by Duality, a local acrobatic act.

Brennan is a well-known industry figure; his family founded the famous lighting distributor Cinema Services, and he has worked for a number of key industry players. His task will be to work with Martin’s West Coast office to develop a stronger presence for the company in the Vegas market. (For example, Martin is a major supplier of equipment for Storm, the new weather-themed dance extravaganza that recently opened at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Vegas).

Speaking of the new Vegas office, Volver (seen below with showgirls) said, “Our new focus on the Las Vegas market will not only benefit the existing customers by offering local service and support, it will also give new potential customers access to the entire Martin product range first-hand."
