Magnum Companies, Ltd. In Atlanta, GA announced today that it has acquired East Coast Lighting & Design (ECLD) with David "Duck" Burns joining the Magnum Production Services staff as production manager/live entertainment. The formal purchase of ECLD took place on July 15th and the past two and-a-half months have been focused on integrating ECLD's inventory and customer base with Magnum's, with the integration of the two companies now complete.
The addition of the ECLD concert-oriented inventory and the 15+ years of David Burns' experience in live entertainment production now give Magnum 's clients a full range of lighting services and technical support, from special events, industrial theatre, trade shows, concerts, tours, and venue support.

Duck adds, "Having the seasoned in-shop support and broad equipment inventory of automated and conventional gear now immediately available, as well as all the great back-office support, I can now focus on the customer and their shows. The combined resources and expertise of the two companies is also a great tool for pursuing larger shows and more diverse clients. Plus, none of these guys have heard any of my tour stories and it's great to have a new audience for my bad jokes."
ECLD's well-established and much-loved slogan, "We Rock, They Suck" will be retired and Magnum's, "Brilliance Is Our Business" tag will be retained and continue to be used by all Magnum 's divisions.
