To increase its international presence and better serve its Latin American- and Florida-based distributors, contractors, sales representatives, and consumers, Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. has unveiled a state-of-the art training facility in Plantation, FL.
“This new training facility gives us a tremendous opportunity to show our commitment to international markets,” said Roger Stamm, Lutron’s international sales manager--Latin America. “With an expanding market in Latin America, the training facility allows us to support the efforts of our international offices and clients.”
As one of Lutron’s largest residential markets, Florida was a natural choice for the new 6,000 sq. ft. (540 sq. m) training facility, which is located in Jacaranda Professional Park. Its proximity to the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale airports, 30 minutes and 10 minutes respectively, allows easy access for Latin American and Florida clients alike, the firm says.
Stamm says the training facility is designed to host advanced-level training sessions on targeted Lutron products. The courses are taught in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, and run for two to three days.
June sessions include Advanced Home Systems and Advanced Fluorescent Controls training. Advanced Home Systems training focuses on residential applications of RadioRA, a wireless whole-house lighting control system, and HomeWorks Interactive, an advanced, multi-zone whole-house lighting control system, while Advanced Fluorescent Controls training focuses on commercial applications of RadioTouch, a wireless radio-frequency lighting control system, and Digital microWATT, an integrated lighting automation for single-floor or whole-building control.
In the new programs, distributors, contractors, and sales representatives receive the technical and marketing know-how they need to expand their business by selling and installing lighting controls, while consumers get a first-hand look at how Lutron products create a flexible lighting environment.
